I had a lap band done in 2006, lost 132 pounds and kept it off until January 2011. At that point the band had slipped and I had to have it removed. I thought I could keep the weight off as I had learned how to eat in a healthy manner. Wrong! Over the next 20 months I gained back 60 pounds.

I was recently put on drugs for diabetes and I'm looking forward to being off of them. As my weight goes down - so do my glucose readings. My Dr. is confident I'll be off my meds soon.
