It's been just over a week post-op, and other than getting tired quickly and having acid reflux, I feel great. I went to my Dr's on Monday and he was shocked when he saw me, he said I looked like a million bucks and could not believe I just had major surgery a week before. He said the incisions looked great, no infection, he told me to keep the x-ray somewhere safe in the unlikely chance I have to have any type of surgery just so that they had the information. I feel fantastic, except I do get tired very quickly but then again it's only been 9 days now.
My whole experience in Mexico was very good and I would recommend it to anyone consdering going to Mexico. the staff were amazing, I could not believe the care they give you and how well you are treated. The only time I got a little nervous was when they were taking me to a back room behind the reception desk at the hotel for my EKG. I had a quick panic thought that omg, why are they taking me back here, But the Dr doing the EKG was very nice and just told me they do it at the hotel so you don't have to get shuttled back and forth so much and get as much rest as you can the night before.
I could not believe that I could get up right off the operating table and walk up stairs. I really felt good. As a matter of fact I felt so good and was doing so well that they offered me to go back to the hotel instead of staying at the clinic. which I gladly accepted. Seriously the only thing that bothered me was the heartburn.
and still is.
i'm on liquids still and finding it no problem, I was shocked about a couple of things that happened to me after which believe me I'm not complaining. I used to ALWAYS be hot. so hot that I had to sleep with the window open even in the dead of winter, now I'm cold all the time. which is great, I just have to put on a sweater, instead of peeling off clothes. Plus my sense of smell is very strong.
thank you Dr Almanza and staff for taking such good care of me, you are all wonderful.
my new life has begun.
