I had the gastric sleeve done in Mexico by Dr. Almanza. I did a lot of research before I left, but I didn't find a lot of people from OK that had gone there, so I was a little lost at what I should do. I hope this helps make your decision! My family was afraid because it was in "Mexico" but I insisted after watching some testimonials on You Tube! I was amazed at how CLEAN all of the medical facilities were! They smelt clean, and anywhere you went you had to wear covers over your shoes to keep it clean. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. They were right there if you pushed the call button and needed anything at all, in the hospital and at the Hotel as well. Anytime I needed a pain pill, or something for nausea they were there ready and willing to help. The Hotel was very nice as well! Very clean, beds were comfortable. I will say though, don't go in thinking this is an easy surgery, it is painful(somewhat) BUT it is WORTH IT!! I had mine done on Feb 12, 2013 and I have already lost 31# I am very happy with my results so far. I would do it again! Be sure you go by the instructions they give you as well, they are there for a reason!
