I'm one month out from surgery and 31 pounds down!! This experience has exceeded my expectations! Having never had surgery, I was a little nervous on the days leading up to the surgery. Luckily, I had the support of some awesome friends! And family! My best friend had the surgery the same day, making it even easier on me. It's much better traveling an unknown road together with a friend! :) The first two days after surgery were the most painful, but after that it's been pretty smooth sailing. This is in NO way an easy way out! There are a lot of changes that you have to go through: smaller bites and sips, diff food than before, full faster, different mind set. But it's worth it! The staff at Jerusalum Hospital were fantastic!! No leaks, no problems at this point! I weigh every Sunday bc its fun seeing the numbers drop. As of this Sunday, 5/12/13, I weighed in at 240! Down from 271! I have a long way to go, but with the help of the Gastric Sleeve it is now possible to reach my goal! I'd recommend this surgery and Dr. Almanza/Jerusalum Hospital to anyone that is thinking of making a lifestyle change! Looking forward to what the future holds!
