This has been a life changing experience for sure. It began with a google search on weight loss surgeons because my insurance wouldn’t cover this procedure.
It wasn’t an easy decision to make. I spoke with about 8 folks who had it done in Mexico. I emailed about 10 additional people. Everyone was willing to share what they liked and didn’t like about the process.
Two weeks before my surgery date I weighed 281 pounds. I wore size 48 pants and XXX Large shirts. It's August 2012 and I now weigh 173 pounds and I wear a men’s size 32 pants and Medium/large shirts.
I am no longer on high blood pressure meds. I sleep through the night and my overall health has improved 100%. I swim almost every day. I take my dogs for two walks a day and I have a ton of energy. this has been the best summer of my adult life.
