Hello, My name is Karen I am 42 yr old mother of 3 teenagers. My husband and I took our journey together. We researched and researched. As many of you have probably figured out to get this surgery done through insurance you have to jump through hoops. I was over weight but not by much so me having the surgery was not promising. I do suffer from lower back pain (herniated disc as well as a couple bulging which limits my activities. I tried it all Slimgenics, HCG, counting calories, I would lose some hit wall then gain back and sometime gain more I was so unhappy. Well we found Dr Almanza talk to his staff several times before surgery and then set the surgeries. Everyone was so wonderful they answered any questions and concerns Dr Almanza spoke with us and we got to talk to his family members everyone was just wonderful. I could not have been happier with my experiance and would do it again in a heartbeat. I weighed 210 the day we started liquid diet before surgery the day of surgery I was 206 tomorrow is our 10 month anniversary and I am 127lbs :-) I love it I have lost equally all over not just in certain areas. I love to shop for clothes now and I wear clothes I never would before I can not express to anyone who really is wanting a successful tool for weight loss to have the sleeve done and to have it done with Dr Almanza!!!! I do have some extra skin here and there that if it does not shrink up I will be returning to Dr Almanza's clinic to have it taken care of. I hope this helps those of you who are thinking about starting a new chapter in your lives to encourage to go for it you have nothing to loose and nothing but happiness, good health and positive attitude to gain.
