So after waiting what seemed like a life time I did it. I got sleeved. THe first night was a restless one after surgury but I felt really good. No pain, no issues. Unfortunately that is not the end of my story. I (for what ever reason) started throwing up and could not stop. I was nervous and a little scared because after all I had just had surgery and I had no idea what was happening to my stomach while I was sick. The staff were amazing. Everyone did everything they could to make me feel better and get me through this temporary hurtle. It was not the easiest thing I have ever done but also no where near the hardest. It took a full day and I started to feel better and was able to hold stuff down and from that point forward I felt great! Every minute that went by I was feeling better and again the staff and doctors were the greatest.
I am about 5 weeks post op and I have lost 45 pounds, can eat pretty much whatever I want. The hardest part for me is to remember to eat slower, which is a good thing for anyone I believe as I know actually really enjoy the food instead of not even tasting it.
My experience was the best experience for me. It was a process to get to where I am but I am glad I did it.
