I got Sleeved On June 23. I was a little Skeptical but after reading many testimonies, I felt comfortable, and decided to go thru with my decision.
The staff are excellent and help you feel relaxed from San Diego Airport thru TJ. Best Decision I've ever made. I had prepared myself to deal with the Pain but to my surprise, I didn't have any pain. I was very nauseated but it was managed with ondasteron (Nausea Med)
Expect gas pain and don't take the gas-x. Instead walk, walk, walk and Walk. The more you walk, the more you get rid of the gas, the faster ur recovery gets. I returned to work in 5 days and didn't feel like I had surgery. For my incisions, I cleaned with H. Peroxide and applied zinc then covered with bandaid three times a day. They healed beautifully w/out even forming a scab in 10 days. The hardest part of this journey is the mental hunger. It is very difficult the first 2 wks, but you start getting used to it, and it gets better after that. I have lost a total of 30lbs in less than a month and am looking forward for more.
If you are trying to make this decision, please go forward with it. Do not talk yourself out of it.
Good luck and remember it gets easier each day after your surgery.
