It has been 3 months since my surgery and I have lost 35 pounds. I was a little apprehensive going into it, mainly because I had never been to Mexico even for a vacation. My experience was very good. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There were people looking after you all the time and security was of the highest quality.

At the same time I had the sleeve, I also had my hiatal hernia repaired. The night of my surgery was the first night I had slept prone in a long time and am especially happy with the results. I have had very little heartburn or reflux since October.

Probably one of the most positive aspects of the experience is the others you meet. You stay basically together before and after the surgery. Therefore you do not feel alone. The socialization with others going through the same thing is probably the most helpful side of the whole situation.
